To burn it off

The original green Monster is sugar, caffeine and flavourings in a big can. It has 56 g of carbs, nearly all sugar, and no fat or protein.
At 235 kcal it's about the same as a chocolate bar, just in liquid form. Two cans a day is 470.
The Ultra range, the white and coloured cans, is sugar free and close to nothing. The numbers can differ a little by country.
Tips
- 1Go for a Monster Ultra, same size, no sugar.
- 2Pour half into a glass with ice and save the rest for later.
- 3Drink a glass of water first, sometimes you're just thirsty and tired.
Where it comes from
Monster Energy was launched on 18 April 2002 by Hansen Natural, a juice and soda company from Corona, California, run by Rodney Sacks and Hilton Schlosberg. Until then the company was known for natural juices. The drink grew so big that in 2012 the whole company renamed itself Monster Beverage.
