How much water should I drink a day
At 70 kg you need about 2.5 litres a day, from everything you drink and eat.
That's about
A simple rule is 35 ml a day for every kilo you weigh. At 60 kg that's 2.1 litres, at 70 kg about 2.5, at 80 kg 2.8 and at 90 kg about 3.2.
That's everything, not only plain water. Tea counts, coffee counts, and soup, fruit and veg bring a fair bit too.
You need more when it's hot or when you've been doing sport. Your thirst is a good guide, and so is the colour of your wee.
Tips
- 1Keep a full glass or bottle on your desk, you'll drink it without thinking.
- 2Have a glass of water with every meal and every coffee.
- 3Add a slice of lemon or a few mint leaves if plain water bores you.
Just type it
2 glasses of water
In Caltype you type what you ate like a note to yourself, and it's counted for you. No weighing, no scrolling through a database.
