How many calories in apple juice
A 250 ml glass of apple juice has about 115 kcal, almost all of it from the fruit's own sugar.
Portion
To burn it off

Apple juice is the sugar of a few apples with the fibre and the chewing taken out. That's why a glass goes down in ten seconds and doesn't fill you up the way an apple does.
A glass is 115 kcal, with 28 g of carbs and no protein or fat to speak of. Two glasses with breakfast is 230.
Cloudy or clear, from concentrate or pressed, the numbers barely move. It's the size of the glass that does it.
Tips
- 1Use a small juice glass instead of a pint glass, it's the easiest win there is.
- 2Top half a glass up with sparkling water for a homemade spritzer.
- 3Eat the apple instead now and then, it keeps you going a lot longer.
Where it comes from
Apple juice starts with the apple, and the apple comes from the Tian Shan mountains in what is now southeastern Kazakhstan, where its wild ancestor Malus sieversii still grows. Traders along the Silk Roads carried it west. Almaty, the city at the foot of those mountains, used to be called Alma-Ata, often translated as father of the apples.
