Portion
To burn it off

Six nuggets are 250 kcal, with 14 g of protein, 15 g of carbs and 15 g of fat. The breadcrumbs and frying oil add as much as the chicken.
That's about 42 a nugget. Nine come to roughly 375 and twenty to roughly 833.
The dip is easy to forget. Sweet chilli and BBQ add sugar, a garlic mayo adds a lot more fat.
Tips
- 1Pick the six with a side salad instead of the large meal.
- 2Use one dip, not two.
- 3Make them in the oven or air fryer at home, it saves the frying oil.
Where it comes from
In 1963 Robert C. Baker, a poultry professor at Cornell University in New York State, worked out how to hold ground chicken together and keep the breading on through freezing and frying. He called it the chicken stick. Baker never patented it, so he earned nothing when McDonald's later came up with its own Chicken McNuggets.
