To burn it off

A chicken Caesar is 520 kcal, with 35 g of protein, 36 g of fat and 15 g of carbs. It's the salad that people order as the light choice.

That doesn't make it a poor pick. With 35 g of protein it keeps you full well into the afternoon.
Tips
- 1Ask for the dressing on the side and use half.
- 2Skip the croutons or have just a few.
- 3Add extra chicken if you want more protein for the same plate.
Where it comes from
It is named after a restaurant owner, not a Roman emperor. Italian immigrant Caesar Cardini ran a restaurant in Tijuana, Mexico, where Americans came to drink during Prohibition. The story goes that on a busy holiday in 1924 he ran low on supplies and tossed romaine, parmesan, lemon, bread cubes, egg and Worcestershire sauce at the table. His brother and one of his chefs have also been credited.

Questions
Is a Caesar salad healthy?
It's filling and high in protein, but the dressing makes it richer than most salads.
How many calories in Caesar dressing?
A lot of the 520 kcal. It's oil, egg and parmesan, much like mayo.
Is a Caesar wrap lower?
Not usually. You keep the dressing and add a tortilla.
How many calories do the croutons add to a Caesar?
A typical handful of croutons is about 70 kcal. Leave them off and a chicken Caesar comes to roughly 450.
Is a prawn Caesar lower than a chicken Caesar?
A little, because prawns are leaner than chicken. The dressing, parmesan and croutons stay the same though, and they're most of the 520.
