The difference

90 kcal

Beer gets its calories from alcohol and the sugar left from the grain, wine mostly from alcohol. A pint is simply a lot more drink than a glass.

If you order wine by the bottle and beer by the half litre, it evens out fast: a bottle of wine is about 625 kcal, three halves of beer 645.

Either way, the snacks next to it usually count for more than the drink.
